About
Willard E. Williams Jr., AIA, NCARB
Willard Williams is a licensed architect with more than 25 years of experience across residential, commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects. He holds active architecture licenses in eight states — California, Idaho, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, Oregon, Tennessee, and Washington — along with NCARB certification, giving Trillium Design Build Company the reach to take on projects across the West and beyond.
As the sole licensed architect and general contractor (Oregon GC #257175) behind Trillium, Willard oversees projects from first concept through final construction, keeping design intent and buildability aligned at every stage. He is also principal of his own firm, Willard Williams Architect, PC, based in Phoenix, Oregon, working on projects ranging from accessory dwellings and high-end single-family homes to multifamily residential developments, alongside additional experience in heavy industrial, storage and distribution, commercial, and aircraft hangar design.
His background includes leading BIM/VDC coordination on major projects for firms including JTM Construction and Hoffman Construction in Seattle, where he coordinated data centers, mission-critical facilities, high-rise residential towers, and high-end retail projects — including Apple flagship stores — for clients such as Microsoft, Amazon, Intel, and Facebook. His broader project history spans high-rise residential, Tier-III and hyperscale data centers, healthcare facilities, and luxury residential work.
Willard has 20 years of experience with Archicad and has led BIM/VDC technology adoption across multiple firms. He is also a LinkedIn Learning instructor, teaching courses on Archicad and BIM/VDC for construction. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (2007), and studied architecture abroad at Chaoyang University of Technology.
